About Us

Atlantic Street Center offers many services, but we have only one goal: to improve the lives of those we touch.
We help children of all ages to flourish academically, emotionally and socially in the present, while helping them develop the skills and strengths they need to grow up to become successful, productive adults. We also serve the family by providing a variety of services to parents and other family members.
Our services and programs include early literacy services for young children and their parents; youth tutoring and summer school for school aged youth; social and leadership skills development for teens and pre-teens; parenting classes and support groups for parents of all ages; life skills classes for adults; and mental health counseling for children and families.
We direct our resources toward low-income children and youth of color in Seattle's central and southeast neighborhoods. Each year, our direct service staff serves more than 3,000 youth and their family members. All services are free to participants. Costs are met through public and private grants and donations.
