Special Event Volunteers

Atlantic Street Center will host the following special events in the coming months and we rely on volunteer assistance to make these events successful.

Event volunteers are needed for pre-event set-up, to help during the event, and post event break down.  Various volunteer shifts are available.  Please contact Teresa Everett for more information: (206) 329-2050, ext 124 or email Teresa.

 

Zumba-Thon

Date:  Saturday, October 15, 2011 – 2:00 – 5:00pm (volunteer shift 1:30 – 5:30pm)

Location:  Rainier Beach Family Center 4730 – 32nd Ave S, Seattle, WA 98118 (located inside Zion Preparatory Academy).

Volunteer needed to support this fun, exciting event.  This person will be registering participants, taking cash, and receipting.

 

Harvest Dinner

Date: Friday, November 18, 2011 – 6:00 – 9:00pm(Volunteer Shift from 5 – 9pm)

Location:  NewHolly Gathering Hall - 7054-32nd Ave S, Seattle, WA 98118

Youth and Family Harvest Dinner is an event hosted by youth development participants; families are invited to bring a dish and have a family style dinner together.  The event will showcase projects completed by Youth Development program along with entertainment. 

 

Atlantic Street Center’s Holiday Toy Store

Date:  Wednesday, December 14, 2011 from 8am to 9pm

Location:  Rainier Beach Family Center 4730 – 32nd Ave S, Seattle, WA 98118 (located inside Zion Preparatory Academy).

Give your time, energy and spirit this holiday season to our annual Toy Store as we partner with the community to bring toys and gifts to over 300 families in need. Volunteer opportunities available for pre-event help, day of Toy Store needs, and follow up help. Please consider how you can give of your time. We need volunteers to help with registrations, toy store guides, room monitors, stockers/floaters, and gift wrappers. The following time slots are available for Wednesday, December 14th: 8:00-11:00am; 10:30am-2:00pm; 1:30-5:00pm; and 4:30-8:00pm. Volunteers are also needed for toy sorting on Tuesday, December 13th from 1pm until 9pm and clean up on December 15th from 9am to 3pm.
