Counseling Services

CounselingOur participants face a wide variety of personal, emotional, and financial challenges. Because no one solution will work for everybody, we tailor our services to meet the needs of each family.

Case managers and therapists in our Counseling Services Program coordinate a comprehensive set of services to help each child and family face their challenges head-on.

Case managers work one-on-one with children and families to help them identify needs and create action plans for positive changes.

Therapists provide mental health counseling for youth and their families who are dealing with difficult issues such as depression, divorce, trauma recovery, unstable life situations, domestic violence, loss and abuse.

In addition, our Counseling Department coordinates case management services provided through the Seattle Youth Violence Prevention Initiative (SYVPI) and provides specialized family therapy services through Alternatives for Families-A Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Our Counseling Department also offers highly-effective treatment for youth experiencing panic attacks and excessive anxieties. We have a number of therapists trained in Mastery of Anxiety and Panic for Adolescents (MAP-A), an evidence-based treatment designed to return youth to the activities they enjoyed before panic and worry became a problem.
